elete™ is a blend of concentrated electrolytes and 70 trace and ultra-trace minerals that can be added to any drink; cold or hot (...it is great in coffee!) or even any food. elete™ instantly delivers important electrolytes like potassium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, and sulfate to your body.

For general use, we recommend mixing 2.5 ml of elete™ per 1 litre of water (or 3.0 ml for CitriLyte). You can safely use this ratio for however much water you consume throughout the day. An electrolyte is any substance that dissociates into ions when dissolved in a suitable medium (such as water) and thus becomes a conductor of electricity.  The minerals, trace elements, ultra-trace elements dissolved in a water medium would have gained or lost one or more of their valence electrons thus giving them a net positive or negative electrical ‘ionic’ charge.  In this form there is no further digestive process required.  If needed by the body they are readily absorbed.

Many sports drinks which claim to contain electrolytes do not - as the minerals they contain are not in ionic form. This means that such drinks will NOT hydrate effectively. Also they may often contain only one or two minerals. elete™ contains not only the four major ionically charged electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride) generally recognised as being essential but also a significant number of trace and ultra-trace elements that are naturally present in the solar concentrated brines that mixed together to create elete™. 

We regularly conduct analyses of heavy metals to ensure safety. Natural brines from the ocean and the Great Salt Lake do include very, very small amounts of heavy metals. To put this in perspective, the levels are so low that when the product is sent out for independent lab analysis, these elements are regularly not detected with state-of-the-art equipment.

Our plain, unflavoured elete™ contains no sugar, citric acid, flavourings, or added acids. It is also naturally alkaline: elete™ has a pH range of approximately 7.2–8.8, with recent testing showing a pH of 7.6.

When added to water, elete™ will therefore raise the pH of the water rather than making it more acidic. This makes it very different from many flavoured electrolyte and sports drinks, which can contain sugars and acidic ingredients such as citric acid.

While we would not make a specific dental-health claim, from an ingredient and pH perspective, elete™ is a simple, unflavoured option without the sugars or acids commonly associated with dental erosion. If you have any particular dental concerns, we would always recommend speaking with your dentist for personalised advice.

There are no set dosage guidelines for children, as requirements vary widely depending on factors such as age, weight, diet, activity level, and overall mineral intake. In younger children, supplementation is generally not recommended unless there is a specific need; such as illness, severe dehydration, or guidance from a healthcare professional. For older children, elete™ may be used during periods of increased physical demand, such as sports, intense activity, or high heat that leads to sweating. You can also mix elete™ with any drink (hot or cold) or food and consume after activity to speed hydration to each cell of the body and support recovery.

We recommend that, as a general guide, 2.5ml of elete™ (or 3.0ml of CitriLyte) is added to each litre of water or drink consumed (2.5ml = one capful from the 25ml pocket bottle or ½ a teaspoon). However, everyone has a different biological make-up which means different amounts can be required by different people. Furthermore, with 80% of the population of the Western World believed to be depleted in magnesium, for example, it means that many people would benefit from higher amounts of elete™. When one begins to use elete™ regularly, residual levels of electrolyte, and trace, and ultra-trace mineral deficiencies can be reversed.

Whilst unlikely, electrolytes can have side effects if taken in excess - we would always advise you stick to the recommended daily dose. The main side effect is that, in excessive quantities, overconsumption can cause loose bowels, if this condition is experienced, simply reduce the quantity used. If you are under the care of a healthcare practitioner, or are taking prescription medications, please consult your practitioner before taking any food supplement.

It's best to store elete™ in a cool, dry place - there is no need to refrigerate. We always advise that it is stored out of reach of children.

We only recommend using the smaller, 25ml refillable pocket flasks when travelling, as once opened, elete™ refill bottles can leak due to their flip-top lid.

The shelf life of elete™ is 6 years, and for CitriLyte™ it is 5years. The shelf life remains the same whether the bottle is opened or not.
